I just love an old fashioned Valentine, don't you? The artwork, the sentiment, the beautiful lettering. Flowers and birds got a lot of use in these tried but true designs.

That is interesting how they spell "peony". Is that where the town on the western slope in Colorado gets its name?

Annie: I don't know! I've never seen it spelled that way either, but I sure do like peonies!
You are right. Those old fashioned ones are better, in my opinion, than the new, bright, song-playing ones.
